Who am I and What am I do?
I’m a Web Producer (Programming and Designing). Basically I am very much curious about latest trends in web technology and always keep abreast with consumer tech news. I used to design and develop websites and applications with interest. I specialize in usability, platform development and online marketing.
Let me put it in this way as my Twitter bio reads: Coder, Designer, FOSS Evangelist, Web Aficionado, TED Translator, Polyglot and Student. Have a look at my Google Profile here.
What languages do I use?
I spend a majority of my day with HTML5, CSS3, PHP, MySQL, XML, JSON and the JQuery flavor of javascript. My recent interest and experiments are on CodeIgniter and MVC design platform. I love the way it works so much. I also occasionally use ASP, MsSQL.
I love WordPress a lot and it makes my day on daily basis. Oh, wait, how come I didn’t mention about my enthusiasm towards Google. I love you, Google. Period.
I do have experience in JAVA, and a lost of other languages and frameworks. I’m generally willing to jump at any language. The learning chain continues with Python, Ruby on Rails and Go.
Wait, did I mention about API? Yeah, I love API, very much. I always experiment with APIs of interesting web applications. With that interest, I’ve coded several extensions for Chrome.
Since, I love all things Apple, and especially my iPhone 4. I’ve created an app for iPhone to type in Tamil easily. iTamil is the name of the app. Details here.
What tools do I use?
I am a FOSS enthusiast and lately I have changed my secondary OS Linux distro Ubuntu as my primary OS, where I used to code with gedit, while working on Gedit, I used to forget that something called time. It’s so interesting and lovely.
When I working in Windows OS, Notepad ++ is my text-editing weapon of choice. It’s lightweight, free, and provides a wealth of functionality and plugins. I always work at code level, no WYSIWYG.
I use Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox for browsing (though I have 3 other browsers to test cross-browser compatibility namely Safari, Internet Explorer and Opera), and some great Firefox plugins to make development time more efficient namely FireBug and FireFTP are some.
What do I do in my spare time?
I’m very much interested in reading books and watching videos. Inspirational speeches, videos and quotes are some of my favourites. I used to share my favourite videos and interests through online services such as Twitter, Facebook and Goodreads. I have a habit of writing things in my style in my blogs namely Tamil and English blog.
Since, I love TED and I also contribute to TED by translating all awesome talks in to Tamil language, in order to make the worthy ideas to spread regardless of languages. You can watch my translations at TED.

What does this NIRAM.ORG mean?
Shortly, it’s a digital play ground of mine, you can find anything and everything on the go for your inspiration and hope. NIRAM is a Tamil language word which means Colour, I chose this name for my site because this site is going to present the colours of my organic life.
